New Monitor

I got a new monitor the other day. I had bought it from uBid for a great price about a week ago. When I was inputting my information for shipping and other misc stuff, it asked for shipping address and billing address. I regularly purchase things off the internet and always have them shipped to my work address instead of my home address. Well for some reason, uBid was showing on my status page that the item was in “credit verification” for a couple of days. I thought this was kind of weird so I decided to call them to find out what the problem was. Turns out that they will not ship to my work address because it is not on my credit card as an authorized address. Either I add my work address to my credit account, or have it shipped to my home address. I said “Just ship it to my home.” I made sure to ask if the UPS guy will leave the package at the door, or require a signature. The woman I was talking to said that they would leave the package at the door as they do not requre a signature. Fine I thought. I would monitor the package on UPS.com and when they deliver it, I would call Pam to go and get it off my door step. As it turns out, I had to stay home the day the package was to arrive, so that made it easier. After waiting around until about 1:30, I decided to go to the grocery store with Kylie and pick up some things we needed for dinner. I guess the UPS guy was watching my house waiting for me to leave before trying to deliver. When Kylie and I got back about 30 minutes later, he had alreay come and gone, leaving a note on my door that a signature was needed for delivery. I called the 1-800 number on the note and asked if they could deliver again today, and the person on the phone said that I would be able to pick up the package at their distribution center. Cool. Not a problem. So after about a 45 minute trip, I finally got my monitor.

I love it. I now have more space than I know what to do with. Found a cool background I like and still need to clean up my desk so that it looks a little better.
